Attolini’s works are included in numerous private and public collections and have been in some of the most popular museums in the world, such as the Milan Triennale and the Lu.C.C.A Museum. His most famous projects, also winners of prestigious competitions, are: "Selfportaits", "Beauty can happened a little bit later" and "Last Bet United". He is also the author of the Manifesto of Significativism published in 2013 in St. Petersburg, where he has lived and worked since 2009.
He uses the most varied techniques such as video art, painting, photography, composition of various materials and objects; always trying to create an exhibition that tells a story. His projects are never just an exercise of style but are huge sensory experiences with deep reflections on life and contemporaneity. Meanings are often the essence and are sometimes mixed with playfulness and the unexpected (WOW) as in the international project "Beauty can happen a little bit later" where he reflects and plays on the concept space/time in art, in life and in the future.
The works communicate with each other as if they were frames of a film. Here, the 'Mona Lisa' is not there and the panorama with the Ermine remains, which in turn has escaped from the painting of the Dame. Or Caravaggio's 'Taking of Christ' repainted with more light (illuminated by the spotlight of the artist's mobile phone). Because Caravaggio himself complained about the lack of light in this work. Francesco Attolini is also the artist of the “I” and the “Other I” par excellence. He is the author of more than 1000 'Self-portraits' (video and still) because it’s he who reflects himself in the mirror in other people's faces. Then the theme of football, which is always present in his poetics as a metaphor for life. Here too, the theme of the game and the metaphysical reinterpretation of reality is at the heart of his projects. For the 2018 World Cup in Russia, he is thinking of a social-historical path and invites other artists to participate. His national team uniforms uniting two 'enemy' nations is a project that not only unites and makes one reflect on the very essence of sport, but also creates essential and spatiotemporal paradoxes. This is how utopias such as the ITALY+GERMANY, ARGENTINA+BRAZIL or even USA+RUSSIA uniforms are born. His artistic journey on this theme gives us a project every year that would be like a real serial.
