Francesco Attolini wins the price "Apulian in the World" 2013 for contemporary art

The General Consulate of St. Petersburg has the honor to submit the artist Francesco Attolini, born June 10, 1974 in Bari, where he graduated Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari. Following numerous artistic experiences ranging from theater to video art, from interior design to landscape Design, accrued in Brussels, Milan and many other Italian cities, he joined in June 2009 on the cultural and artistic scene in St. Petersburg. Starting from June 2010 Attolini began working with the General Consulate of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture, who in the last few years have supported and promoted various projects of the artist, both as author and as artistic director of the Galleries CHE and OIOIOI. In particular, from 2010 to the present, The General Consulate of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture Francesco Attolini have been partners for the realization of the following projects: Self World, Willow - My Parallel Universe, Post Archaic of Xante Battaglia, Jurodivyj by Jacopo Ceccarelli (2501), Retrospektiva by Nikolay Koshelkov and many other events that between St. Petersburg and Moscow, including personal and collective exhibitions as a curator and art director exceeds 50 events. In 2011, on the occasion of "' The Year of Italian Language and Culture in Russia," The Institute has promoted the exhibition of Francesco Attolini "Identificatsya - Self portrait" consisting of 27 video installations, curated by Irena Kuksenayte and set up in one of the most important contemporary art exhibition centers in St. Petersburg "Etazhi - Loft proekt" where he achieved a great success of audience and critics. The show ended with a big "closing event" in February 2012.

In 2013 Attolini starts working as an artist and curator with the Rizzordi Art Foundation in April where he inaugurated a major exhibition of contemporary Italian art with artists and 85 works of Art, giving rise to a new artistic movement: "the significativism".
