everyday life, with its own essence. Women who invite you
to look on reality from a different angle, looking for
something else in the collective imagination. I saw
everything everything and every time I notice a particular

And I see women who express themselves freely, like
breathing. But even more I see the memories of Francesco
Attolini, his vision ... and I see everything. Because you

the case of Francesco it is everything. He, who built the
foundation of his art through sophisticated research by the
means of video, has made SELF WORLD work in vertical, in
depth. For him who is all the people he met. For him all
these women are the part of himself. For him his beautiful
way of life in video art was like a mirror, the doors of
synesthesia are totally open. For him his poetry of the
self-portrait amplifies the similarities and
differences between the alleged artist and the alleged
object.
It is interesting how the means of video are used.I'm
thinking of the traces of all the video artists that in
years of study and work I have followed. Self brings my
mind to the postcards of a very young Robert Cahen ... but
that's another story. A history of signs and movements,
which become living sculptures.
Francesco Attolini stands as an artist of emotions,
memories contained in many small portraits. Every gesture
is worth the effort consuming, each languid glance of woman
is a confession ... because we know that the work of art is
always a confession.
SELF WORLD Russia is a mirror which reflects the artist
himself. But at the same time he is by the opposite side of
the mirror... that is faithful, neither overturns, nor
twists... it's really you. Each movement of a woman is like
a reflection of the artist who comes to you and asks Who
are you? Being his reflection and at the same time being
able to illuminate a space of possibilities that allows to
answer this question.
The splendour of the video art of Francesco Attolini is
precisely the use of video like a mirror ... and I do not
speak of the phenomenon of video narcisses... always
outdated ... That's how the works emerges, finding its
magical point in video art...and that tells me "there are
things that only the video art can tell" ... Francesco
says, but it is told. Told by his visions with which we
shall proceed in a synaesthetic manner -touch to see. Self
World and other works of the artist make us understand that
making a video work is different. Expression of concept
through the video is another story + it needs content so
that the message gets through.
SELF WORLD is the essence of life flowing, everyday is a
short-circuit logic of all the people that we meet in life
and leave some of them be in us.
SELF WORLD opens the door to a new aesthetics ... mild and
simple... something that comes from macro cosmos of these
women with their lipsticks, their movements, with their
