Loft Project ETAGI and Formula Gallery are glad to present the series of video works of Italian artist Francesco Attolini. The artist explores himself through the prism of his video camera which contemplates self-identifications of other authors. They took intent and partial look of a viewer-author upon themselves and the viewer can identify himself in this chain. Face or mask? Game or sincerity? Intention or improvisation? The artist involves himself voluntarily in this creative contradiction. His look at those who are portrayed by him joins his own inner world and we have the mirror labyrinth of different self-identifications as a result. Interaction between individuals serves the key impulse to understanding of this installation. The exhibition is held in the framework of the Year of Italy in Russia. The part of exposed works has been shown at the 54th Venice Biennale and at the 4th Biennale of Moscow.
