The marathon exhibition dedicated to the bicentennial of the Russian campaign of Napoleon Bonaparte is finished in Saint-Petersburg. Last project in the framework of the festival "Art-full face. Napoleon-12. Artistic practice. " was held in ART re. FLEX Gallery. Northern capital citizens had an opportunity to look at the French theme from different angles. Firstly the exhibition "He Is On The Field!" was housed at Lazarev Gallery forcing viewers to dive into the philosophical reflections on the fate of the Emperor of France. The Gallery of contemporary art "Anna Nova" placed exhibition "New Empire" at the hotel Angleterre, which has become a kind of reflection of the very historical period through the prism of Napoleon Bonaparte`s personality. Current project - the most ironic and provocative. During the third exhibition - «Bonapart Media» - priority is given to unrestrained imagination of the artists: Ekateruna Sisfontes (Sweden), Francesco Attolini (Italy), Sami Hurskulahty (Finland), Julia Besshtanko, Anton Hlabov, Maria Agureeva and others worked out a unique art series - moderately ironic and poignant.

By combining in a single project video installations, large-scale art objects and chamber works, Magalashvili could create a real playing field where the personal association of artists coupled with the audience reactions became the main instruments of cooperation.

Ruslan Kenji, in particular, has forced the audience to reconsider their views on beauty in a series of works "The Empire Beauty". Pauline de Mauny demonstrated her interpretation of the classic works of Leo Tolstoy's "War and Peace", and Julia Besshtanko without any fear appealed to the most erotic fantasies of Josephine - lover of Napoleon Bonaparte.

The most provocative works were not included in the exhibition: Napoleon`s glass heart and penis ought to come from Denmark. However, this travel was abandoned because of the special fragility of objects.

"Bonapart-media" exposition will be held until July 12. However, the closing of the exhibition does not mean the end of the project.

It is possible that the festival "Art Anfas" will expand its geography and acquire movable character. "We hope to make an exhibition, based on these exposures , which can be shown not only in St. Petersburg", - said the mastermind of the project Artem Magalashvili.
