In the refugee camp on the outskirts of Bari, life goes smooth and quiet. We are in the enclave of a country with a bad conscience, in a place which is more often destined for public removals. And yet, walking through the dusty streets of the camp, looking around with the eyes of a gipsy child who lives here, means to change the perspective, to find a visual dialogue with what seems to be inscrutable and unapproachable. The look of that child is the look of the artist, which simply stops and observes gestures of our daily life, in this distant world where, in the end, each of us recognize ourselves. This is a useful exercise for a character to catch yourself in the eyes of another person.
